Truck Mounted Attenuators

We offer a full line of truck mounted and trailer mounted attenuators for use on stationary or moving support vehicles. All our TMAs are MASH or NCHRP 350 tested to keep your workers and work zone safe.

SS180 M

The SS180® M is a truck mounted attenuator for use on stationary or moving shadow or support vehicles. It is tested to MASH Test Level 3. The unit is comprised of two lightweight aluminum cartridges contained in a potentially reusable steel support frame, and a 180° tilt feature which folds at the center to stack the two cartridge sections on top of each other. The SS180® M is designed to help absorb rear-end impacts at speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h) when impacted within MASH crash test standards.

SMT

The SMT™ is a trailer mounted attenuator for use on stationary or moving shadow support vehicles. It is tested to the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) Test Level 3. The system is comprised of two lightweight aluminum cartridges contained in a steel support frame and heavy duty Torflex® axle and wheels. The SMT™ is designed to help absorb rear-end impacts at speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h) when impacted within MASH crash test standards.

Assembly and Maintenance

Safe-Stop™ 180° TMA

The Safe-Stop TMA with 180° Tilt feature provides maximum protection with minimal length, weight and height.  The 180° tilt feature makes this the shortest TMA available when in its storage mode.  The Safe-Stop 180° TMA successfully meets the NCHRP 350 TL-3 criteria, and also provides TL-2 protection when in storage (folded) mode.  It is recommended that the Safe-Stop TMA® be mounted to trucks between 16,090 lbs and 19,845 lbs for optimum impact performance.

SS90™ HD TMA

The SS90™ HD TMA is an exclusive TMA design that provides maximum protection with minimal length & weight.   This heavy duty, 90-degree Tilt TMA provides NCHRP 350, Test-Level 3 protection for impacts of speeds up to 62 mph.  Its two lightweight aluminum cartridges are confined in a galvanized steel support frame that is typically reusable after a design impact.  It is recommended that the SS90™ HD TMA be mounted to trucks between 16,090 lbs and 19,845 lbs for optimum impact performance.

Trinity MPS 350 X TMA

The MPS 350®X is a galvanized, cantilevered truck mounted attenuator available for use on stationary or moving shadow support vehicles. This compact TMA has passed all mandatory and optional testing and is NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 3 compliant. The MPS 350®X is made of galvanized steel components with an open design, which allows for easy inspection and maintenance.

Vorteq Trailer TMA

The Vorteq TL-3 Trailer Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) is a robust system with a long life cycle that protects workers, the motoring public and vehicle assets. The unique tube-in-tube design reduces debris scatter that can potentially cause a second collision.  The wheels are designed to remain functional after collision, allowing the trailer to be towed away. The trailer mounted attenuator attaches to vehicles from 10,000 lbs and up with a standard pintle hook.
