Simple Installation

TrafficVision was built for easy installation and integration, with no need to retro-fit or replace existing cameras.  If existing cameras use a standard digital encoding, their video feeds can be analyzed over the network. Alerts and data generated by the software are presented directly to operations staff in the TrafficVision User Interface or through an ATMS. TrafficVision software can operate on numerous hardware platforms to best fit organizational needs: Cloud, COTS Servers or hardened equipment in the field, or virtual machines. TrafficVision’s browser-based application permits anyone designated by traffic managers to access and configure analytics from anywhere with network access. There is no need to load extra software or clients onto work stations.


AGD 326 Pedestrian On-Crossing Detector

The AGD 326 Pedestrian On-Crossing Detector has been designed for the detection and monitoring of pedestrians and cyclists crossing the road at signaled installations and other applications where the detection and safety of moving pedestrians is required. The 326 Pedestrian Radar is a smart, dynamic environment detector that makes crossings safer and more efficient by delivering robust detection day and night on wide crossings.

Typical Applications

The AGD 326 can be configured for multi-lane roadways. It is designed to sense moving pedestrians and cyclists while they are traveling inside the crossing in order to appropriately extended the phase time.


Installation and Alignment

 The AGD326 radar has been designed to operate at a mounting height of between 7ft.-14ft. with an unobstructed view of the detection zone. The 326 radar should be mounted to point at the center of the furthest point of the detection zone. On a level roadway crossing, this will typically result in a declination angle of approximately 9 degrees. You can confirm that the radar is correctly aligned by ensuring that targets are reliably detected within the specified detection zone by using the AGD Touch-setup App.

AGD Touch-setup App

The 326 is quick to setup using any WiFi enable smart device like a smart phone, tablet or laptop. The secure AGD Touch-setup app allows installers to
configure the device in three simple steps:

  • Name device
  • Select range
  • Select channel frequency

Multiple AGD detectors may be setup at the same time from a safe position on the ground, or in a vehicle up to 100ft. away. Conveniently, the 326 can be adjusted for changes just as quickly in the same way.

AGD 641 Stereo Optical Pedestrian Detector

The AGD641 Pedestrian Detector has been designed for the detection and monitoring of pedestrians and cyclists waiting to cross the road to ensure the crossing phase is only called when they are present in the wait area. The ground-up development of the 641 is a 3D stereo-vision optical system capable of detecting moving and stationary targets over a 13ft. x 6.5ft. zone. The 641 maintains class leading shadow and unwanted object rejection.

Typical Applications

The AGD641 Pedestrian Detector is an optical product that makes pedestrian crossings safer by delivering robust
detection within a standard crossing zones. Multiple units easily integrate to cover larger wait areas and has Infra-red illumination for nighttime operation.



Installation and Alignment

The AGD641 Pedestrian Detector has excellent performance when mounted between heights of 10-13 feet. The 641 stereo optical head should be adjusted to an angle of 45 degrees from the horizontal (+/- 15 degrees) to see a point 10ft. from the base of the pole when viewed from the detector. View the zone-area with the AGD Touch-setup App, including the area directly in front of the push button. Obstruction of the zone-area by signal head back plate, moving foliage or anything else must be avoided so that the detector has a clear field of view.

How Does It Work?

Hydra 265 transcodes multiple video streams from an intersection (or other installation) and sends it through your existing infrastructure to your TMC. The compressed stream can then be decoded with another Hydra or by your own VMS software if it supports H.265.

Hydrophilic Self-Cleaning Lens

The Viper’s Hydrophilic glass is the latest in glass technology.  This low maintenance, self-cleaning glass is created using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technology.  Sending a high voltage acceleration of Titanium Dioxide molecules (TiO2) directly onto the glass, the PVD process allows a thin layer of TiO2 particles to penetrate the surface and fuse to the glass. The hard oxide coating created by the PVD process is extremely resistant to degradation by water, organic solvents, oxidation, sea water, strong acid, UV and wear. The Hydrophilic coating helps to flatten the water over the surface of the lens, creating a sheeting action that breaks down dirt, organic material, and pushes it to the side. The water’s low angle to the surface of the lens also helps it to evaporate faster minimizing spots.

Cleaning the lens is easy. Point the Viper lens up to the sky when it rains and let the Hydrophilic lens do the rest. Combined with the camera's electrically conductive glass you will have a clean and clear view in minutes.


Electrically Conductive Glass

The inside of the Viper's lens goes through a similar PVD process as the front. This time the glass is coated with Indium Tin Oxide (ITO). The Indium Tin Oxide allows electricity to be conducted through the glass to prevent it from fogging and freezing. Most cameras have a heater that is on 24/7 to prevent fogging and freezing regardless of the temperature outside. The sensor in the faceplate of the Viper lens monitors the outside temperature and automatically adjusts the current through the glass. When temperatures rise, the lens will conduct very little or no electricity at all, saving energy.

Even at -30°F the WTI Viper has over 50% visibility!
